ON HEAT-CONDUCTION PROBLEM IN PERIODIC COMPOSITES

The aim of this contribution is to investigate the influence of period ic structure on the temperature distribution in a periodically nonhomo geneous half-space subjected to the action of moving constant temperat ure on its surface. The body under consideration is composed of a rigi d isotropic matrix and unidirectional periodically distributed rigid i sotropic inclusions with identical rectangular cross-sections. The ana lysis is performed within the framework of the homogenized model with microlocal parameters [1]. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
