Abstract
We use laboratory decisions with different salient rewards to elicit indivi dual values of a risk mitigation investment in a low probability environmen t. Statistically significant gender differences were found with class point s; however, gender differences disappeared when monetary incentives were us ed. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
