Abstract
Peer assessment is a valuable tool for developing student skills where by they gain insight into evaluating their own level of understanding within a subject. It encourages student participation in the processes of learning and assessment, but is not widely utilized. This paper re ports on the issues raised by this method of assessment when used to m ark clinical case studies in a large anatomy class of first year medic al students.
