Abstract
The hydrolysis of p-nitrophenyl picolinate (PNPP) catalyzed by the binuclea r complexes bis-(N-(2-deoxy-beta -D-glueopyranosyl-2-[3-carboxyl-salicylald imino])) M-2(II) (M = Cu, Zn, Co) was investigated kinetically by observing the rates of the release of p-nitrophenol in the presence of surfactant (h exadecyltrimethylammonium bromide CM at different pHs and 25 degreesC. The scheme for binuclear complex metallomicelle catalyzed reaction acting mode involving a ternary complex composed of ligand, metal ion and substrate in micelle was established and the relative kinetic and thermodynamic paramete rs (k(N), K-s, pK(a)) were obtained. The reaction is discussed in terms of a bifunctional catalytic mechanism.
