Abstract
Magnetic alloys based on the compositions Pr16Fe75.5B8Zr0.5, Pr13Fe80.5B6Zr 0.5 and Pr12.6Fe68.7Co11.6B6Zr0.5Ga1 have been employed in the present inve stigation. The hydrogen decrepitation (HD) process was used to produce sint ered permanent magnets using a mixture of these alloys, in equal proportion s. Standard magnets with compositions Pr16Fe76B8, Pr16Fe75.5B8Zr0.5, Pr17Fe 76.5B5Cu1.5 and Pr20Fe74B4Cu2 have also been included in this work for a co mparison. A dramatic influence of additions on the magnetic properties of t hese Pr-based magnets has been shown. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All ri ghts reserved.
