Abstract
A new sesquiterpenoid, alpha -santalane-11,12,13-triol, together with thirt y known compounds were isolated and characterized from the root bark of Sev erinia buxifolia in Hainan. Their structures were determined by spectroscop ic methods. The relationship between constituents and collecting area is al so discussed.
