The changdes of some physical parameters of lymphocyte membranes follo
wing neutron irradiation from a Cf-252 source in vitro in range of ver
y low doses were studied. We aimed our attention at fluorescence inten
sity, fluorescence polarisation, microviscosity and order parameter of
lipid bilayer of lymphocyte membranes. The values of above mentioned
parameters were obtained by means of fluorescent spectrometry using 1,
6-diphenyl-1,3,5-hexatriene (DPH) as a fluorescent probe. It wits show
n,that with increasing doses of radiation the values of all studied pa
rameters have been decreasing. The microviscosity of membranes decreas
ed to 37% of the control value.
