Abstract
PURPOSE: To report the association of sectorial choroidal ischemia wit h ipsilateral tumor of the lacrimal gland. METHODS: Case report. In a 62-year-old man, a complete ophthalmologic examination, including fluo rescein angiography and computed tomograph ic scans of the orbit, was performed. The patient underwent an en bloc excisional biopsy of the t umor. RESULTS: Fluorescein angiography of the left eye showed extensiv e sectorial choroidal ischemia superotemporal to the optic disk with m acular involvement and associated chorioretinal folds. The patient was found to have a benign mixed tumor of the left lacrimal gland. CONCLU SION: The tumor of the lacrimal gland may have compressed choroidal ve ssels and short posterior ciliary arteries with subsequent sectorial c horoidal ischemia.
