Abstract
We describe CT and MR findings in a 23-month-old infant with a melanotic ne uroectodermal tumour of the pineal gland. The tumour has been stereotactica lly biopsied and surgically resected. The pathological diagnosis was made o n the resected piece. Embryology of the pineal gland and the histology of m elanotic neuroectodermal tumour of infancy are discussed.
