Abstract
The Digital Cinema Consortium (DCC) was established in February 2001 in Tok yo, Japan. The DCC was organized for the purpose of making very high qualit y digital cinema possible by achieving the resolution of 2000 scan lines so as to match the full quality of 35 mm film. NTT is one of the core members of the new foundation in pioneering the development of the new technologie s needed. This article is an overview of DCC.
