Abstract
A new approach is reported for the measurement of Brewster angles in transp arent biaxial crystals. The Brewster angles for potassium hydrogen phthalat e (KAP) single crystal are also calculated from available refractive index data by our method. The measured values agree well with the calculated valu es, confirming our theory. The measured values of the Brewster angles of KA P are 60 degrees 03 ' +/- 5 ' and 58 degrees 30 ' +/- 5 '.
