Lz. Zhang et Sl. Ma, Synthesis and magnetic properties of SOD mimics - Two copper(II) binuclearcomplexes bridged by oxamido-N,N '-diacetic acid and acetate anion, POL J CHEM, 75(12), 2001, pp. 1833-1837
It is well known that SOD (superoxide dismutase) plays a critical role in o
rganism. However, as a kind of protein, SOD itself has certain limits in th
e field of application. As a result, the SOD-mimetic complexes which may be
tter SOD-activity to a certain extent can be of much importance. Two SOD mi
mics which are novel mu -oxamidato binuclear unit complexes with 1D structu
re have been synthesized, namely {Na[Cu-2(oxaa)L2OAc]}(n), where oxaa is ox
amido-N,N'-diacetic acid tetraanion and L denotes 1,10-phenanthroline or 5-
nitro-1,10-phenanthroline. The temperature dependence of the magnetic susce
ptibilities of {Na[Cu-2(oxaa)(1,10-phen)(2)OAc]}(n), has been investigated
in the 4.99-299 K range, giving the exchange parameter J = -309.0 cm(-1). T
his result is commensurate with anti ferromagnetic interaction between the
adjacent metal ions.
