Abstract
It was shown that when the free-radical polymerization of acrylic monomers is carried out in the presence of 1-tert-butyl-3-phenyl-1-oxytriazene in th e 50-65 degreesC range, the gel effect diminishes, the molecular mass of th e produced polymers grows, and their unimodal molecular mass distribution s hifts to higher molecular masses with conversion, thereby providing evidenc e that polymerization proceeds according to the pseudo-living chain mechani sm.
