Abstract
Two species of the genus of lichenicolous fungi Bellemerella (Verrucariales ) are described as new to science: Bellemerella acarosporae Calatayud & Nav .-Ros. (host species: Acarospora fuscata), and B. polysporinae Calatayud & Nav.-Ros. (host species: Polysporina simplex). So far, they are known only from their type localities, in eastern Spain. Both species mainly differ fr om B. trapeliae, the only species previously known in this genus, by their wider ascospores and their different host species.
