Abstract
Curvatispora singaporensis gen. et sp. nov. is described based on a specime
n from Livistona spinosa from Singapore. The genus is placed under Clypeosp
haeriaceae and compared with the most similar genera Clypeosphaeria, Ellure
ma, Lasiosphaeria, Leiosphaerella and Physalospora. Curvatispora singaporen
sis has erumpent perithecial ascomata immersed under a clypeus, unitunicate
asci with a J+ subapical ring, and unicellular, cylindric-ellipsoid, curve
d ascospores.
