Abstract
An annotated list of interesting lichen species and lichenicolous fungi col lected during field work in the Tyrolean Alps (Austria) in 1996 is presente d. Eleven species are new to Austria: Biatora vacciniicola (Tonsberg) Print zen, Japewia subaurifera Muhr & Tonsberg, Lecanora farinaria Borrer, L. thy sanophora R.C. Harris, Lepraria elobata Tonsberg, Mycoblastus alpinus (Fr.) Th. Fr., M. caesius (Coppins & P. James) Tonsberg, Placynthiella dasaea (S tirt.) Tonsberg, Rinodina sheardii Tonsberg, R. degeliana Coppins, and Scha ereria corticola Muhr & Tonsberg. Eight additional species are new to Tyrol .
