Abstract
A hexagonal array is economic in that it covers the maximum area with a cer
tain boarder length among ah the equilateral polygon arrays. We report in t
his paper that a high-efficient hexagonal array illumination is realized ba
sed on phase-contrast method, which should be useful for illumination of he
xagonal optoelectronic array as well as other hexagonal array in practice.
