Abstract
Reaction of dichloro(1,2-dimethoxyethane)nickel with 2 equiv of(tris(2, 4,6 -trifluoromethyl)-phenyl)lithium, generated in situ, produced bis(2,4,6-tri s(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)(1,2- dimethoxyethane)nickel. Significant nickel-f luorine interactions are revealed both in the solid state (X-ray crystal st ructure data) and in solution (variable-temperature F-19 NMR spectral data) .
