Abstract
Clays were pillared with zirconium aquahydroxycations starling from untreat ed or HCl-pretreated montmorillonite. The supports were promoted with manga nese by adsorption method. Structure and texture was studied by XRD and low temperature argon sorption. The information on distribution of manganese w as obtained from XPS and textural studies. Catalytic activity in SCR reacti on was shown to depend on the initial pretreatment of montmorillonite. Sele ctivity to nitrogen was connected with the distribution of active material.
