Recent years have witnessed notable improvements brought on by the latest g
eneration of computed tomography (CT): helical (spiral) scanning. Although
this technology holds significant advantages over conventional modalities,
its use in mainstream medicine can be enhanced by thoughtful consideration
of the challenges and opportunities it poses. In this article, Drs Nipper a
