Abstract
The validation of a steady state process simulation requires the collection of data on the plant and their reconciliation. A reconciliation technique used in this work and applied to pulp and paper mills is presented. On the basis of exporatory results. protocols for the sampling of data in mills we re designed in view of subsequent data reconciliation and to optimize the p osition vs number of sampling points required.
