Contribution to the study of pathogenic effect after experimental inoculation to the dog of 2 strains of Borrelia (Borrelia lusitaniae et Borrelia garinii) isolated in Tunisia

The authors inoculate 3 strains of Borrelia respectively to 3 dogs in the p urpose to contribute to a comparative study of pathogenic effect of these s pirochets in dog. Clinical examinations as well as haematological, biochemical, radiological and serological investigations and research of rhumatoid factor were realis ed before and after inoculation. It rise up that experimental inoculation of Borrelia to the dog provoque no clinical manifestations contrarily to that is observed in natural infectio n. Meanwhile fever pics and a seroconversion limited in time were observed. Some haematological variations, mainly leucocytosis, and biological variat ions notably an incrising of uremia, of creatininemia and of the blood conc entration of creatine kinase were observed.
