Abstract
We report the observation of resonant spin-Rip Raman scattering due to loca lized heavy-hole excitons in quasi-bulk Cd1-chiMnchiTe multilayers. The exc iton- and electron spin-hip energies were compared with excitonic Zeeman sp littings obtained from magnetoreflectivity measurements on the same sample. A good agreement was observed between the electron spin splitting values o btained from both experiments. The exciton spin-flip energy was found to be slightly reduced with respect to the Zeeman splitting value. Possible mech anisms of this reduction are discussed. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd.
