Abstract
The synthesis of indolocarbazoles was achieved via photochemical and therma l annulation reactions of chromium Fischer carbene complexes. This methodol ogy allows for facile incorporation of hydrogen bonding functionality which complements the pharmacophore contained within bioactive indolocarbazole n atural products.
