Abstract
Palladium-catalyzed olefination of aryl halides led to a variety of fluorou s ponytail-substituted, functionalized aryl compounds with good to excellen t yields. The same chemistry was also applied to the synthesis of binaphath ols bearing fluorinated ponytails. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All right s reserved.
