Abstract
Swine dysentery is one of the most common multifactorial infectious disease s in pig fattening herds. Within eradication programs a successful and pers istent improvement of herd health requires the knowledge and consideration of all factors with any influence on the outbreak and course of the disease . In this regard the principles of the control of swine dysentery are descr ibed.
