Ja. Duffy et al., PHASE-BEHAVIOR NEAR THE TRIPLE POINT OF CARBON-DIOXIDE CONFINED IN MESOPOROUS VYCOR GLASS, Journal of radioanalytical and nuclear chemistry, 211(1), 1996, pp. 173-179
The phase behaviour of carbon dioxide confined in VYCOR glass at press
ures below that of the bulk triple point (similar to 0.51 MPa) has bee
n investigated. The temperature at which freezing occurs appears to be
pressure dependent below 0.3 MPa. As experiments are performed at suc
cessively lower pressures, the confined phase transitions gradually di
sappear, due to either partial pore filling, or the proximity of the c
onfined triple point.
