Abstract
A multiple-return-pass equation for beam divergence that is applicable to m ultiple-prism grating tunable laser oscillators is derived by use of ray-tr ansfer matrices. This beam divergence is then incorporated into the multipl e-return-pass dispersive linewidth equation. A discussion of the applicatio n of the equation is given. (C) 2001 Optical Society of America.
