Abstract
Micropagation of Verbena tenera Spreng. was achieved by subculturing o ne-node explants on MS medium without cytokinin. A proliferation rate of 3.9 per 20-day culture period was achieved. Shoots elongated from t hese in vitro-cultured nodes could be rooted on auxin-free MS medium. Plants produced were readily acclimatized and flowered in a greenhouse .
