Abstract
The tracts of floodplain forests ill southern Moravin in the alluvium of th e Dyje river and Morava river were heavily impacted by anthropic activities in the last thirty years. The regulation of the two rivers, the constructi on of group water mains, and the specific climatic conditions markedly chan ged tile moisture regime of soils, The process of revitalization measures w as started in some parts of the floodplain forest at the beginning of the 9 0s. Based on both previous and very recent measurements, the paper document s the hydrological and climatic factors which affect the overall soil moist ure regime in the floodplain ecosystem. They are presented results provided by the regression and correlation analysis for soil moisture, groundwater table, air and soil temperature, atmospheric precipitations.
