Biological flora of central Europe: Cornus sanguinea L.

Cornus sanguinea L, is a common tall-shrub with a wide distribution in Euro pe. This article reviews the literature on morphology, physiology, reproduc tion, establishment, community context and distribution of the species, i.e . plant traits contributing to the abundance of C. sanguinea, and to its su ccess and persistence in the cultural landscape of central Europe.
