Abstract
Using routinely collected data from an Accident and Emergency department ov er a 12 month period, we demonstrated a strong correlation (Pearson Correla tion Coefficient 0.90; 95% Confidence Intervals, 0.77-0.96) between materia l deprivation and attendance following violent assault.
