Abstract
A miniature superradiant NH, optically pumped far-infrared laser (OPFIRL) w ith buffer gas N-2 was theoretically studied. Base on the mechanism model o f buffer gas, synthetical relaxation time was calculated. By solving the se mi-classic density matrix equations, spectra of NH3 superradiant OPFIRL wit h buffer gas N-2 was calculated, also the operating gas pressure. It was fo und that by adding buffer gas, FIR power could be raised, and there existed an optimum ratio of gases mixture and an optimum operating gas pressure wh ich was higher than that of pure NH3 operating.
