Abstract
A tandem dimerisation-cyclocondensation of enaminones with [bis(trifluoroac etoxy)iodo]benzene(BTI) provides an effective method for the synthesis of h ighly substituted pyrroles. It has some advantages over existing methodolog ies such as accessible starting material, nontoxic reagents, mild reaction conditions.
