Abstract
A 48-year-old man was admitted to our hospital with jaundice and systemic l ymphadenopathy. Cholangiographic findings and liver histology disclosed the presence of sclerosing cholangitis. The patient also had a marked polyclon al increase in IgG levels. The cholangiographic findings, the systemic lymp hadenopathy, and the increase in IgG levels resolved completely after treat ment with prednisolone. This case suggests that there is an association bet ween sclerosing cholangitis and immunologic abnormalities, and that cortico steroid treatment is useful for this disorder.
