A. Molina et al., STUDY OF THE POTENTIAL-TIME RESPONSE CORRESPONDING TO A CATALYTIC MECHANISM DURING THE FIRST CYCLE OF AN ALTERNATING-CURRENT, Anales de quimica, 93(3), 1997, pp. 153-160
A theoretical study of the potential-time response corresponding to a
catalytic mechanism when an alternating current is applied to a static
mercury drop electrode is carried out. The experimental conditions un
der which reduction or oxidation transition times can be reached are d
iscussed. Methods for determining the equilibrium constant and the rat
e constants of the chemical step are proposed.
