Abstract
Addition of [Au(PR3)](+) units to the trinuclear [MS4(AuPR3)(2)] (M = Mo or W; PR3 = PPh3 or PPh2Me,), by reaction with [Au(OTf)(PR3)] (OTf = trifluoromethanesulfonate) (molar ratio 1:1 or 1:2), leads to the he terometallic derivatives [MS4(AuPR3)(3)]OTf or[MS4(AuPR3)(4)](OTf)(2), respectively.
