Abstract
The nephrotoxic effect of COX-2 selective inhibitors has not yet been estab lished. We report a case of reversible acute renal failure due to acute tub ulointerstitial nephritis, confirmed by histology of a renal biopsy sample, associated with taking rofecoxib, a selective cyclo-oxygenase-2 (COX-2) in hibitor.
