It is shown that electron-electron interactions lead to a novel quantu
m-interference contribution to nonequilibrium current noise in mesosco
pic conductors. The corresponding noise spectrum is obtained in detail
for diffusive systems and is found to be quadratic in the applied vol
tage and to exhibit a power-law dependence on the frequency S-ee(omega
) similar to \omega\(-alpha). The exponent alpha = (4 - d)/2 depends o
n the dimensionality d of the sample.
