Abstract
Scattering of acoustoelectric waves on a inhomogeneity is studied. The scat terer is a circular, continous piezo-electric cylinder (fiber) embedded in a transversely isotropic piezoelectric medium. Expressions are found for th e scattering amplitudes and total cross sections of three acoustoelectric w aves propagating in the direction normal to the fiber axis. In the long-wav e approximation, these expressions are obtained in an explicit form.
