Abstract
Dimethylglyoxime reacts with acetylene under pressure in the KOH-DMSO syste m to give 1-vinyl-2-[2'-(6'-methylpyridyl)]pyrrole along with the expected products of the Trofimov reaction (O-vinyloxime, pyrrole and dipyrrole).
