Abstract
Implications from a thermostatistics based on normalized Tsallis entropy, i ntroduced by Rajagopal and Abe (Phys. Rev. Lett. 83 (1999) 1911) are analyz ed. In particular, this normalization gives the thermodynamic stability, C- q > 0. for Tsallis formalism leading to a natural extension to the fluctuat ion-dissipation theorem. Furthermore, an example is worked out in connectio n with a fractal spectrum of energy, suggesting the relevance of the presen t formalism. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
