Abstract
The hardness and structure of the 20G2R, 30G2R, and 30KhGSN2A steels and ar mco iron that were deformed to e less than or equal to 4-5 by shear under a quasi-hydrostatic pressure of up to 8-10 GPa and by cross rolling were com pared both immediately after the deformation and after annealing. It was sh own that the difference in the hardness and structure of the alloys deforme d by different methods decreased with increasing carbon content in the allo y. The deformation method affects the relative change in the hardness and s tructure that is formed upon annealing of the deformed steel irrespective o f its chemical composition.
