Abstract
Thermally expanded graphites containing Fe, Co, or Ni and their compounds w ere synthesized and their physicochemical properties studied. The electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction data were used to analyze structural and m orphological parameters of the hydrocarbon matrix and metal compounds on it s surface. The sorption capacity of the synthesized thermally expanded magn etic graphites with respect to petroleum was determined.
