Abstract
An elastic constitutive model is proposed to describe the mechanical proper
ty of bio-materials that possesses strain limits. Analytical solution for t
he Mode I crack tip behavior is obtained. The tensile strain limit can be r
eached by approaching the crack tip in any direction while the compression
strain limit can only be reached in two sectors of the crack tip domain. (C
