The magnetic properties of Ni/Cu multilayers, prepared by the electrodeposi
tion technique, have been systematically studied by magnetic measurements a
nd ferromagnetic resonance (FMR). The Ni thickness dependence of the magnet
ization and magnetic anisotropy is discussed. The FMR spectra were obtained
with an applied magnetic held parallel and perpendicular to the film plane
at 300 K. The FMR linewidth of the granular multilayer is rather broad, wh
ich is attributed to some roughness. From FMR, a positive Value for Ni/Cu i
nterface anisotropy has been obtained. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All r
