Abstract
A novel flow pattern map is developed based on five dimensionless parameter
s. The transition region from dispersed bubble to slug flow, from slug to f
rothy slug/annular flow and from frothy slug/annular to annular flow is pre
sented and good agreement between theory and experimental data from the lit
erature is obtained.
