Abstract
In the theory of inelastic deformations with internal variables, H.-D. Albe r has defined an important class of models called models of monotone type. For the subclass containig coercive models, the existence of global in time solutions is known. Unfortunately, in practice the coerciveness condition fails very often. Therefore we consider here noncoercive problems. In this note we study a subclass of models of monotone type for which the so-called coercive approximation converges to a solution of the original noncoercive problem.
