The humidity - sensitive property of LiCl/H - STI solid electrolyte, which
was prepared with assembling a guest of LiCl by a thermal dispersion method
on a host of H - form CXN zeolite (STI type), was investigated by the meth
od of AC - impedance. The sample of LiCl/H - STI with threshold loading (0.
14 g/g) possesses the optimum humidity sensitive performance, including 4 o
rders of magnitude changes of the electrical conductivity in whole range of
the relative humidity, stable sensitivity as well as satisfactory reversib
ility, exhibiting the desired acute response to the environment moisture. T
he fact implies that a novel humidity sensor based on this assembly materia
l will be very promising in its field.
