Abstract
Objective. The purpose of this study is to alert MR users to the potentiall y lethal consequences of projectile cylinder accidents in the MR environmen t. Conclusion. Projectile cylinder tank accidents still occur and may be incre asing, despite adherence to screening policies before MR imaging and safety education of hospital personnel. Four of the last five accidents at our in stitutions occurred within the past 3 years.
